The Role

We're proud to be an approved StS provider, which gives our local authority clients and our tenants the confidence that the accommodation we provide is safe and of a good standard. As our StS coordinator you will be play a central role in monitoring the compliance of all of our properties, organising and progressing the remedial work required to achieve and retain a good rating. With over 4000 properties in our portfolio, it’s a busy role, so you’ll need to be highly organized and comfortable delegating and overseeing the work of our StS Engineer. You’ll be part of our broader maintenance team and will work alongside the Head of StS, so it’s essential that you can work effectively as part of a team.

The StS portal itself can be complex to navigate, so it’s essential that you’ve got strong computer skills, including experience of working with a database system.

 

Main Duties & responsibilities

  • Effectively organize and manage the activities of our dedicated StS engineers to achieve the best possible ratings for our properties in their annual inspections

  • Ensure required remedial work is monitored with any delays logged and escalated to Head of StS

  • Ensure that the StS portal is kept up to date with accurate information

  • Create daily job sheets for the engineers

  • Prioritisation of works carried out

  • Monitor orders placed and allocate to jobs raised

  • Ensure that the highest levels of customer service are fully implemented to achieve customer satisfaction

  • Any other relevant duties as requested by the company

  • Responsible for the reporting the status of jobs raised

  • Handling of contractor and client jobs, including dealing with any queries

  • To comply with S&P policies and to carry out any duties that may reasonably be required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain appropriate professional boundaries

  • Strong administrative skills

  • Effective delegation skills

  • Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a high-pressured environment

  • Close attention to detail

  • A proficiency in the use of MS Office including Outlook, Word,

  • Previous experience in a similar position

  • Strong team ethic, with the proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team or independently with individuals at all levels

  • Working on own initiative without close supervision and as part of a team

  • Working flexibly in responding to the varying demands of the role in order to achieve agreed outcomes

 

It’s an advantage if

  • You have previous experience of working within the StS scheme or

  • You have previous experience of a similar role in a different compliance-focused environment
